July, 2002 Robbin and I Visit Maine
Robbin and I enjoyed some near-perfect days on our visit to Portage Lake in
Aroostook County, Maine. The lake was perfect, the weather was perfect,
and the people were perfect. I could have putted a little better on my two
rounds at the Portage golf course.
Serene Portage Lake
We hosted a party at our "camp" one night. Here's Nancy, Robbin, Pearl,
and Rick. Carol is standing.
After dark, one of the Gagnon brothers plays guitar and everyone sings.
Thanks, Ronda, for building the fire. Rick knew every word of "Red Rubber
Ball." And we all knew a lot of them. Scary.
We assemble the chairs necessary to host the Portage clan

Chowing down. Wayne Gagnon (far left) and Darrel Soucy (far right) are
brothers-in-law twice over. Darrell is married to Sandra, Wayne's
sister. Wayne married Carol, Darrell's sister. Got that?
Earlier we visited Robbin's mother's cousin Mary Ann and her husband Sam in
Wilton, ME (home of Bass Shoes)
On the way up from Windsor Locks we spent an afternoon in Salem, MA...
